The mission you chose for yourself in this lifetime becomes clearer to you when you learn to decode the messages your soul sends. Following this internal guidance requires patience, curiosity and a willingness to be microscopically honest with yourself.

Following your soul’s one-of-a-kind blueprint instead of sticking with the herd takes faith, curiosity…and enough courage and vitality to fully develop the gifts you were born with. When you remember that you designed the challenges, the solutions and the triumphs to match your unique talents and goals, you will naturally start to look inward for the answers you seek.

I think of the soul as the consciousness that animates your physical body and expresses what is essential about you, making you like no one else. It is the nonphysical aspect of you that remains eternally united with omnipotent Source energy (aka God). It leaves your body with your last breath, at which time it reunites with Source. This nonphysical energy can be perceived by a human being with the nonphysical faculty known as intuition.

I’m fortunate. My intuitive eyes can see hearts and souls as well as bodies; I can intuitively hear what the heart and soul speak silently. Like a map of all the people, places and experiences you will need to build a meaningful, soul-led life, your soul creates a blueprint for what it wants to experience. You can feel intuition in your body when soul communication commences. Some experience its activation as goosebumps, chills or tears; it typically inspires feelings of awe, gratitude and a deep sense of being in the right place at the right time, equipped with the right skills.

Connecting with the cosmos may sound like a fantasy, but the more you bring your physical, mental and emotional systems into coherent alignment, the more you will experience a tangible connection with something benevolent that is much greater than yourself. When you dare to access your heart’s wisdom and allow it to guide you in every decision, a practical shift occurs that lets you approach everyday situations with more confidence, clarity and compassion.

All of the information you need to build the life designed by your soul is already contained within you. The solution to every challenge you face already exists. To access and benefit from this guidance though, you have to first tame the mind, as it is an untrustworthy guide. It may be logical, but its habitual activities—competing, comparing and analyzing— jam your reception mechanism with excessive mindstuff.

To open your psyche to perceive the nonphysical information that is broadcast by your soul 24/7, make space for daydreaming, wondering and imagining. Tune in and let yourself feel your way through life when you can, rather than being driven by habits of overthinking and overachieving. Instead of following the herd’s “shoulds” that compel certain behavior, pause and ask your soul for clear guidance to be delivered in an easy-to-understand format.

When you connect using your intuition, it’s like tapping into “the cloud,” the remote network of computer servers that store, manage, and deliver vast amounts of data online. Your connection to the information within the Universal “cloud” is your birthright; it’s what makes you most human. When your intuition is fully operational, it’s like having a library card that grants you access to a multidimensional library that delivers the knowledge you need in real time to build your life according to your soul’s blueprint.

While some may receive inner guidance in words while praying within a church, a temple or relaxing in Nature, your soul may also speak to you in real time using riddles, poetry and images. Songs, snippets of overheard conversation or a book falling off a shelf and bonking you on the head may be your soul’s way of getting your attention so it can present you with a good idea or the solution to a problem.

When you vibe so much with someone you just met that you could swear you were connected in another place and time, that may be a clue from both souls that you could be soul mates with a “soul play” to enact together that will benefit both. Depending on what will catalyze the greatest growth in the other, a soul mate may play the role of an ally or an antagonist.

Intuition may be innate to all human beings, but like a muscle, it can become atrophied when it’s not used. Your innate guidance systems lays dormant but fully operational, ready to be discovered, awakened, and exercised by you…maybe with a little help from a friend.

Soul Interpreter

I’ve learned to be a “soul interpreter” of sorts, although I didn’t initially set out to become one. Decades of practice as a spiritual counselor have made me fluent in the nonphysical language that the soul speaks. This gift that I’ve developed over time equips me with the ability to perceive a message that is unique to each soul and translate that information into words, images or metaphors that are as practical as they are poetic.

Like tuning into a radio station to listen for a certain style of music, “dialing into the soul channel” allows to me to connect with the “broadcast” of another soul and help them to interpret the metaphorical meaning of the message. As the soul illuminates the purpose of perplexing life experiences, profound shifts in attitude and behavior that last a lifetime can happen in an instant.

In the ethereal realm of the soul, it’s impossible to predict what you’ll discover or what the message may be. When I use my intuition in service to another’s spiritual journey, everyday concerns are mirrored in a dream-like landscape that reveal the contour of the soul’s blueprint. When we come together for this purpose, it creates a sacred space filled with the unconditional love of Source and the intelligence contained within that soul. I listen with my my mind, my heart, and my “soul’s ears” for patterns, connections and clues. I sense which experiences match the soul’s blueprint, which deviate from the original design, and what is the next right step toward building a big, beautiful soul-led life.

Soul Work

Typically, there’s “soul homework” assigned that reinforces the lesson the soul wants to share. There is no lack or judgment in the “spiritual cloud” around you, only love.
