Sensitive Soul Superpower #3: Neutrality
Your neutrality disarms the control mechanisms that feast on your fear, insecurity and confusion.
As institutional corruption is revealed for what it is, and formerly trusted entities crumble beneath their own weight, it will be very tempting to become cynical and see everything as a lie. The enormity of the darkness that gets uncovered in 2025 may trigger grief, outrage or cause you to shut down emotionally and bury your head in the sand. Your ability to maintain neutrality in divisive situations is a Sensitive Soul Super power that can help you to recognize beneficial opportunities and discern your next best step in 2025.
When you react to current events with highly charged emotion, your life force feeds the divisive drama unfolding all around us. Dwelling on feelings of judgment, blame and victimhood only cause them to grow. Enumerating the sins of others keeps you trapped within a matrix of misery manufactured by someone else. To exit the fight peacefully with your soul intact requires that you avoid taking sides whenever possible and instead adopting an attitude of neutrality.
Neutrality means adopting a mindset that refuses to be baited into taking sides and defending your position as if your life depended on it.
Being neutral does not ignore, excuse or condone bad behavior, rather, it elevates your default thinking beyond the right/wrong, win/lose, good guys/bad guys rubric we’ve all been raised with. A more neutral, curious perspective lets you take in multiple perspectives comfortably without the need to defend your point of view as if it is you. When your default perspective expands beyond assigning blame, you’ll be amazed by the nuanced solutions that can arise from within the neutral space you’ve created. You can maintain your neutrality in the face of divisive rhetoric, and allow the truth to reveal itself, as only lies need propping up.
The choice to cooperate with the path of neutral curiosity becomes so much easier when your good opinion of yourself isn’t determined by what others think of you or by the saboteur lurking in the recesses of your mind.
If you feel victimized by an inner mean girl or guy or are someone who gets easily swayed by the opinions of the herd, practice the pause. Ask if you can know for certain that what you believe to be true is verifiably true. Like clouds parting to reveal the sun, challenging the validity of divisive, dark and contracted thoughts dissipates them, revealing more truth and more light.
Neutrality disarms the control mechanisms that feast on your fear, insecurity and confusion.
One of the songs we dance to has the lyric, "Where your focus goes, your energy flows." It also talks about how you haven't yet reached your full potential if you're still alive. It's very empowering. I'll figure out the name of it and get back to you.
