It’s 11/11 at 11:11. Please don’t hit the snooze button! Instead, hit the reset button and make the quantum leap in consciousness that you were born to make. Although it is an auspicious time to be alive from your “overachiever” soul’s perspective, the chaos on earth right now is a siren song that can seduce your personality into acting from its lower nature. Unfortunately, when we allow ourselves to be overtaken by fear, hatred or greed, not only do we suffer personally, but we also add suffering to the invisible energy soup that we share known as collective consciousness.
Though challenging, the tumultuous times we are in present each person with a rare and beautiful opportunity of quite literally becoming a Christed being. By squarely facing and dissolving any energy within us that is not Christ-like, we initiate an alchemical process that awakens us to a more enlightened way of being in the world, but not of it. By dissolving anything that is out of alignment with the unconditionally loving nature of the soul, we begin to neutralize the personality’s tendency to cling to that which does not serve us (or others) well.
As a thought experiment, imagine God as a God Network, an infinite energetic (nonphysical) net. Picture yourself and every other human being as a “node” that “broadcasts” and “receives” on this vast, multidimensional network of pulsating life. Like individual gods in embryo, each soul takes on a body, a personality and a life situation within which they are authorized to create their life as a sovereign being. Gifted with this inalienable agency, each person is free to craft their life utilizing the energy of their thoughts, words and actions. We decide whether or not we will be guided by the soul’s “blueprint.” We choose whether to leverage our talents in service to a life that the soul originally aspired to or not…either choice is equally honored.
Free choice is inviolable; we must consciously choose
whether or not we will plug our consciousness into the God Network.
When we actively develop our innate ability to merge our historical personality with the infinite, multidimensional energy of the soul, we are granted direct access to the vast intelligence embedded within the God Network. As we grow in love and wisdom, we broadcast more pristine energy, which seeps into and elevates the collective consciousness. When we recognize our soul’s worth, we automatically become a godly steward of the transcendent spiritual power with which we were born.
Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do. ~ John 14:12
Each of us came here as a “free agent” with the power to choose how we will interact with life. Many souls alive today embodied with a spiritual imperative to evolve beyond the tyranny of their ego, trauma and psychological hangups to realize the peace and freedom of unity consciousness. Sometimes known as light workers, these courageous Sensitive Souls have become highly trained spiritual warriors, who do “battle” by confronting the darkness contained within their own shadow. Rather than projecting it on to a proxy and fighting it “out there,” spiritual warriors turn inward to consult with their soul when emotionally provoked. By repeatedly making choices informed by the soul, spiritual warriors organically develop into a more godly version of themselves.
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. ~ Romans 12:2
It is not by eliminating the baddies out there that humanity will evolve toward becoming a more peaceful people. It is by following our soul’s blueprint that each of us can choose to become a cooperative component of the divine plan. When we build our lives as originally designed, we automatically become the change we wish to see in the world. Peace, equality and prosperity will reign when we become expert alchemists who can infuse a unique personality with the love and wisdom of the soul.
If you find yourself getting swept up in the emotionally-engaging dramas playing out all around you right now, it’s a clue that you’ve probably strayed from your soul’s intended design and it’s time for an adjustment. Let the churning of your emotional body be your wakeup call that allows you to realign with your unique purpose. Accept the invitation from your soul to grow in quantum leaps simply by saying yes to what is, even if what is is distasteful to you. It’s here anyway, so arguing with it is pointless, isn’t it?
Pause. Observe. Respond.
Suspend your default reaction by giving yourself the gift of a pause whenever possible. Get curious. Ask yourself: Can I know for certain that any of this information I’m reacting to so strongly is even true?
Observing begins with taking a deep breath and recognizing that the information we take in and react to is altered by who we are and how we perceive. Each of us experiences reality through filters made up of our current mindset and emotional state, our inherent biases as well as our past experience that we unconsciously project on to the present situation.
Blanketed in digital conditions 24/7, we have become even more easily deceived by emotionally-provocative narratives that compel us to react in ways that often disadvantage and disempower us. It is by pausing instantaneous reactions, taking a step back and shifting into observer mode that you can create the space for your soul to weigh in on the situation at hand.
When soul and personality blend, your perspective zooms way out and possibilities abound. With greater context you will automatically respond from higher wisdom rather than reacting from a narrower and more primitive mindset. Recognizing that you’ve installed false filters can definitely be humbling, but it is essential if you wish to see life more clearly and align with your soul’s purpose.
Identifying your filters can also help you to observe challenging scenarios more accurately and respond more creatively. You may not like or prefer what you observe, but only an unflinching acceptance of what is can empower you to change it. Paradoxically, whenever you suppress, deny, reject or argue with what is, the power of your resistance keeps it stubbornly in place.
It is important to remember that your attitude of acceptance does not condone bad behavior. Rather, acceptance of reality as it is enables you to discern an appropriate response that is aligned with the situation and the most evolved version of you.
To reclaim your spiritual birthright and all the specific guidance you could ever need, initiate a spiritual inquiry: What is true and what is false in me? Am I building my life based on my divine soul’s blueprint or am I building my life based on my “self-made self?”
Take this annual opportunity at 11/11 to align with your soul’s blueprint by leveling up your daily spiritual practice. Remember that the reality you are currently experiencing is constructed using the building blocks of your thoughts, words and actions. When you pivot away from the distracting noise of the material world and attend to what is alive within you, you automatically tap into the vast and unlimited universe which is also within you. When you open to receiving the poetic communication your soul offers, you will receive the precise and unique messages that will help you to navigate complex situations elegantly, in ways that benefit all concerned.
Will you shed the fabricated version of who you think you are and become the man or woman your soul designed you to be?
How to Plug into the God Network: Spiritual Practice
Each day for the next 30 days, set an alarm for 11:11 am or pm, and spend about two minutes focusing your attention on being present with your body, your breath and whatever arises in you. Feel your aliveness. Just practice being present, aware, open and spacious without commentary. Notice what’s present here with you. Notice if there’s any sensation arising in your body. Notice energy that you can sense through your breath. Become aware of any movement, emotion, or habitual thought in the mind.
Whatever it is that you notice, welcome it in and just allow it to be there. There’s no need to try to change it, chase it or push it away, just remain still and spacious in your awareness as you accept whatever it is that’s arising. Practicing your capacity to accept whatever is arising for two minutes a day will reduce the tendency to argue with ‘what is’ or overreact to any misperceptions that result from filtered information.
When you feel more at peace and content with the present moment, whatever it may bring, you will start to recognize reverently that everything arising within you is an esteemed ambassador sent directly from your soul.
“Guest House” by Rumi
This being human is a guest house.
Every morning a new arrival.A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
as an unexpected visitor.Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they’re a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house
empty of its furniture,
still, treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out
for some new delight. The dark thought, the shame, the malice,
meet them at the door laughing,
and invite them in.Be grateful for whoever comes,
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond.
Set your alarm for 11:11 and get acquainted with the expansive, enlightened version of you that is present in each and every moment. When confronted with challenging situations, practice suspending judgment and reaction, which keep you trapped in the hangups of the personality. Instead, pause, observe and accept what is. When you give up the personality’s fight for survival you become receptive to the more subtle wisdom and love that flows to you directly from your soul.
Katie, you have thrown out a life-line here with this article. It speaks to everyone no matter who they voted for, or even if they didn't vote. These difficult times have been painful and confusing for all of us and you've shown us the way to relieve that hurt and confusion by going deep within and listening for our souls message by practicing being present, aware, and open "without commentary". That's the hard part, without commentary. Fortunately though we do get the benefit of reading your reflections which are always very helpful.
I liked the question you suggested we ask ourselves," Can I know for certain that any of this information I’m reacting to so strongly is even true?" Excellent point, and how much does it really matter anyway?
I'm looking forward to doing this 11:11 practice over the next 30 days. Thank you for providing this opportunity and guidance.
