Sensitive Soul Superpower #1: Discernment
Your light is so powerful that it can illuminate and dissolve darkness.
How ya doin, Sensitive Soul?
In this transformative year, I’m noticing some Sensitive Soul’s are freaking out unnecessarily. By overreacting to the chaos unfolding around us, you bind yourself to it. It will distract you from your authentic purpose, if you let it.
Everything you need to know to navigate these times is within you:
Be still. Be present. Connect.
Practice Discernment:
As you navigate the interesting times in which we are living in 2025, reclaiming your sovereignty is your first step. Spiritual sovereignty is a journey from victimhood to self mastery. Sovereignty is about retrieving every part of your life where you have given your power away to another person, situation or external authority figure. It is about reframing how you see yourself and the world so that you can align with your soul and walk its path. It’s about fulfilling the plan you made for yourself before you incarnated.
By becoming who you truly are, you become immune to manipulation by those individuals and institutions who lust for power over you. A critical mass of humanity needs to become “model awakeners” who reclaim their power or we will sleepwalk into a future that subjects all of us to corrupt power.
The innate wisdom, experience and trustworthiness of Sensitive Souls makes them uniquely equipped to be way showers of light in these seemingly dark times. Highly experienced Sensitive Souls have the capacity to dissolve the illusion of fear under which we’ve been toiling for the benefit of the “machine” and discern truth. Sensitive Souls are ushering in a new paradigm for humanity by creating a template for collaboration, cooperation and peace.
Sensitive Soul Superpower #1: Discernment
If you can’t trust authority figures to guide your decision making in 2025, whom can you trust? YOU! But only when you’ve built trust with yourself. Your Sensitive Soul Super Power of discernment can only operate in a warm, loving environment of honest self love and the trust that you build with yourself by looking after yourself well.
Spiritual discernment is a deep knowing of what is right for you…and what is not.
Like a lightbulb illuminating darkness, your soul’s intelligence can shine through your mind and heart, allowing you to perceive yourself, life and other people more accurately. When you see clearly, you make wise and beneficial decisions for yourself. However, if your Inner Critic is large and in charge, its dense bulk can blot out the light of your soul, blinding you to essential information.
The Inner Critic’s belittling barrage of sabotage can distract you from noticing significant elements of reality that are right in front of your nose.
Nasty self-criticism can definitely pollute your inner landscape with lies about you, but your Inner Coach, who is the personification of your soul, can clean it up. When you quit criticizing and arguing with what is and allow whatever arises in you to present itself without judgment or resistance, you build trust with yourself; when you refuse to undermine or discredit yourself, you build trust with yourself; when you know that your light is so powerful that it can illuminate and dissolve any darkness you discover within or without, you become fearless and trust that whatever life presents, you’re up to the task.
When you fully trust yourself, you don’t have to worry if others are trustworthy because you become immune to manipulation.
Do you struggle with trust issues? Become trustworthy. If you’ve been victimized, scapegoated and gossiped about, it’s understandable that you feel mistrustful of others. If you’ve been misunderstood and mistreated by those unburdened by a conscience, you’re not alone in feeling pessimistic about the integrity of others.
When you learn to love yourself, trust yourself and follow your own wisdom, you will become immune to the manipulation of others.
If you need to bolster your self love quotient and quiet the voice of the Inner Critic try this:
Accept whatever you feel, no matter how wonderful or how gnarly. Let the light of your awareness and your compassion for yourself be the solvent that dissolves any dis-ease that arises.
Allow I don’t want to to be a good enough reason not to do something. (No need for little white lies or complicated explanations.)
Allow I really, really want to to be a good enough reason to do something. (Ignore the naysayers and do it anyway.)
If you need to exercise your Discernment Super Power and make an important decision that is right for you, try this:
Become still. Connect with yourself by placing your hand over your heart. Breathe. Intend and allow a connection with your inner wisdom. Ask a question and listen. The answer may arise instantly or it may bubble up to the surface later. Be aware of “clues,” coincidences and synchronicities in your environment that confirm, deny or modify your first impression.
If fear creeps up on you like an unwelcome guest, not to worry, your Sensitive Soul Super Power of Discernment lets you Face Everything and Rise.
The Guest House
This being human is a guest house.
Every morning a new arrival.
A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
As an unexpected visitor.
Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they're a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house
empty of its furniture,
still treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out
for some new delight.
The dark thought, the shame, the malice,
meet them at the door laughing,
and invite them in.
Be grateful for whoever comes,
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond. ~ Rumi
"Face Everything And Rise." Where has this gem hidden all my life? Xox
Holy shit! Katie. The girl in blue at the beginning of this article isn't the only "thing" getting ready for take-off. You're stirring up all kinds of good juju here, inspiring others who then respond and add their own (thank you, Tereza) inspiring and stimulating juju to the conversation. Wow! I'll bet you weren't expecting this. I think we all better hold on to our hats!
And BTW, Judy (from CP) said that this article really spoke to her today, too!! Just sayin'.
